Two firefighters taken to hospital after sustaining injuries during house-fire battle

Two firefighters tackling a house fire near Masterton have been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

There are seven fire trucks and four specialist appliances battling a blaze in the second story of the house.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said they were called to a smoke-filled house on Mangatarere Valley Rd at around 6.30pm.
