State Highway 2 between Upper Hutt and Wellington has reopened after a motorbike crash.
Emergency services rushed to the motorway between Hebden Cres and the Haywards Hill Rd offramp at 9.15am.
Police said they did not believe the motorcyclist had serious injuries.
The road’s southbound lanes at the Manor Parksouthbound offramp/State Highway 58 interchange have reopened after the police serious crash unit investigated.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) confirmed the crash site has been cleared and State Highway 2 is now open to traffic in both directions.
“Drivers can expect some delays while queued traffic clears,” a NZTA spokesman said.
