A toddler who died in a drowning incident on Monday afternoon has been described as a cheeky young boy.
Police were called to the property near Riverhead, northwest of Auckland city, around 4pm on after a child drowned in a pool at a private address.
The three-year-old, called
Dawson, is described as a "bubbly cheeky wee monkey" on a Givealittle page set up to help cover funeral costs.
Next door neighbour Emma Carboon set up the Givealittle page, asking for people to kindly donate to the family.
