Three people rob Christchurch shop with a hammer and machete

Three people armed with weapons including a hammer and a machete robbed a shop in Christchurch.

Police are looking for three people who were involved in an aggravated robbery of the Night 'n Day store on Ferry Rd in Woolston at 5am yesterday.

They presented weapons at a staff member before taking off with cigarettes and cash.

The staff member was uninjured.
