The C 63 AMG Black Series has already sold out.
Three Kiwis will be getting an extra special Christmas present this year - a limited edition C 63 AMG Black Series coupe.
The $322,000 car doesn't arrive in New Zealand until April, but has already sold out. The 6.3 litre V8 develops 380kW of power and 620Nm of torque, which
will produce a 0-100km/h time of 4.2sec.
Australasia's allotted 32 vehicles were up, as were the three available for New Zealand. But the popularity of the special coupe doesn't surprise Richard Emery, Mercedes-Benz sales general manager for Australia and New Zealand.
"I can't say I'm surprised but we're certainly overwhelmed by the quick response," he said.
"We'll continue to work with AMG to secure more vehicles as, not only have we sold out of our C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series allocation, but we now have a wait list.
