Tens of thousands of people have reported issues with several Meta apps this morning.
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are reportedly experiencing problems, according to Downdetector reports.
There have been reports of widespread outages with Meta services globally. Downdetector registered a spike to nearly 4000 Facebook New Zealand outagereports shortly after 7am.
A spokesperson from Meta said at 12.16pm that they were “99% of the way” to fixing the issue.
Meta shared on X that they were “working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible”.
