The artist behind an exhibition opening tonight won't have many qualms about his work being on display - he's already made a career of it.
The cartoons and columns of Peter Bromhead have appeared in newspapers around New Zealand for 40 years.
In his Auckland exhibition, Retrospective, Bromhead promises a
selection of those works, showcasing his characteristic humour, caustic wit and political insights.
The exhibition includes drawings, portraits and limited-edition coloured prints from throughout his career.
Bromhead's cartoons have won him nine Qantas media awards. This year, he was recognised at the Qantas media awards for his outstanding contribution to the print and media industry.
* The exhibition begins with an opening preview at 5.30 tonight at the Sanderson Contemporary Art Gallery in Parnell and runs until October 4.
