The Herald can reveal that six teenagers aged between 13 and 16 have been arrested in relation to the assault.
All six have been charged with aggravated robbery and remanded to youth justice custody facilities, a Counties Manukau police spokeswoman said.
They will appear in the Papakura Youth Court on January 8.
"The victim is recovering from her injuries at home but may require further surgery to her face and head," the spokeswoman said.
When Ms Wang's father found her, she was lying on the ground in the train station carpark. "Her face was bruised, swollen and covered in blood. I could not recognise her," he said.
