Teen student wins driving lessons

A driving student was the lucky recipient of free driving lessons after attending the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness road safety programme in March.

Janette Groeneweg, 16, Ponatahi Christian School, won six free driving lessons with Jackie Hill of Masterton Driving School after her name was drawn from forms submitted on the programme.

She was one of 450 year-12 students who attended.

Wairarapa Road Safety Council manager Bruce Pauling says she intends to begin her driving lessons "very soon".
