Legal advice taken by police on the teapot tape saga has reportedly convinced them not to press charges against the cameraman responsible for the infamous recording.
During the election campaign the two Johns [Key and Banks] sat down to allow Mr Key to back Mr Banks' campaign for Act in
Epsom.
A recording device was left on the table by Bradley Ambrose and the fallout led to police raiding media offices for information.
A High Court judge decided against making a determination on whether the conversation between the two men was private or public, and the police have been investigating ever since.
