A Taranaki police officer won't be attempting to swim across Cook Strait today because of the weather.
Senior Sergeant Karley Hunt was planning to set off from Ohau Point in Wellington this morning.
She's already raised $3500 for Central Taranaki Blue Light, a charity that helps at-risk youth.
However, herteam says the weather's not in her favour today and the swim has been delayed.
On Facebook, they say the weather is marginal for a start tomorrow or Monday so they'll just wait and see.
