The Crown will pay $8050 in costs to the two promoters of the On the Edge Stunt Show after charges against them were withdrawn by Judge Peter McAloon in the Invercargill District Court yesterday.
Paul Charles Lindberg, 47, and Cindy Anne Maree Lindberg, 43, both of Auckland, had been charged withfailing to take all practicable steps to ensure spectators were not harmed by pyrotechnics.
Ten people were injured at the show in April last year when an explosion shattered a grandstand window at Ascot Park.
