South Auckland man burnt after motorbike catches fire

A man has been taken to hospital with serious burns after the motorcycle he was working on caught fire.

A fire emergency spokesman said fire crews had been called at 12.10pm to the Landscape Rd, Papatoetoe address. They have since put out the fire.

A police spokeswoman said the man had been working on the motorcycle when it caught alight. He had been taken to Middlemore Hospital.
