A smoke alarm found near Auckland Airport has sparked a road closure and a specialist response.
At 6.30pm police were made aware of an item of concern in the grass on Uenuku Way, near Auckland's airport, a police spokeswoman said.
Specialist teams attended and assessed the item, which was found
to be a smoke alarm, the spokeswoman said.
The road was closed for a short time but is now open.
