Slip forces house off foundations

A large slip has pushed a house off its foundation in the Wellington suburb of Melrose.

According to a Fire Service spokesperson the house became unstable after a retaining wall fell into the house.

Radio New Zealand reported that Wellington City council engineers are on their way to assess the house.

The Fire Service says no-one was injured by the slip.
