A car rolled down the street after a Wellington party last night and hit several people.

Police were called to the party on Mortimer Terrace in Te Aro to assist the host and to help clear people from the area.

As party goers were leaving, a person or persons released the handbrake of a vehicle which subsequently rolled down the street hitting several people.

One woman suffered a suspected fractured ankle and two others suffered minor injuries. All three were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Four people were arrested at the scene due to disorder.

Police would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the scene.
