Emergency services are searching for a missing swimmer in the Karekare area at West Auckland
Police were called after a swimmer failed to resurface at a swimming hole around 3.35pm on Monday.
The swimmer has not yet been found, a police statement said.
"Police remain at the scene and the search for the swimmer continues," a statement said.
Police were called around 3.35pm and it's understood the Police Eagle helicopter is responding.
They allege the Crown ignored Treaty obligations by not engaging with them.
