To the people who sit in the straight through lane at the Lambie Drive off- ramp and think it's okay to flick your indicator on at the last second and cut those who are turning right off - or just turn across in front of them. Don't get upset if we don't let you in. We don't have to. Get into the right lane to start with or in the case of this intersection go up to the next intersection and turn right there.

A big thank you to the fellow Subaru driver on Monday around 6pm on the Southwestern Motorway heading away from the airport. My car died on a precarious stretch of the motorway and as I waited on the shoulder for the tow driver and my husband, of the many drivers to roar by me in the dark there was one who went by me then slowed, put hazards on and reversed on the shoulder towards me. A kind gentleman got out of his car and came over to the passenger side of my car to see if I needed a tow. You are tremendous! Thanks for caring. Auckland needs more people like you.

To the person who stole a Courier Post bag containing 10 copies of the book Book Book by author Fiona Farrell from my property in Premier Ave, Pt Chevalier, on Monday afternoon. You will by now have discarded the parcel as there is no monetary gain for you but be aware that book clubs throughout New Zealand will no longer have the pleasure of reading this very good book.

A big thanks to the guy cleaning bus stop 8584 at Blockhouse Bay with a water blaster. The water blaster had left the seats very wet. So he cheerfully produced an old towel and wiped them all down. And when I could not find the bus stop number he looked and found it for me. Then with a really cheery "have a great day" he was away to his next job.
