Rave This week, my husband underwent a procedure at Lakeview Cardiology North Shore Hospital. From entry, each member of the teams displayed their expertise, efficiency and compassion in a manner whichputs you at ease. Truly amazing. We are so fortunate to have all these dedicated people. Thank you. Anne R
Rant I had my car bumper repaired about three weeks ago after someone knocked into it in a supermarket carpark. I saved for one year to be able to get it repaired, as I have to pay the excess. Now, to the person who bumped into my car and at the same spot: I wish you had the decency to own up and put your details on my car. Jane Lee
Rave After parking on the street, I saw a driver heading directly towards me, waving madly. I asked if she needed help, but she smiled and thrust a parking card out the window with an hour left on it. She suggested I have a nice day. I did. Mark Scott
Rant What is going on with the Ritchies bus seemingly abandoned on Grand Drive in Orewa for what has been weeks. This is not a parking space - come on guys, get it moved! Linda
Rave I would like to say a huge thank-you to the family in front of us at Auckland Zoo last Sunday who gave us an admission voucher into the zoo. It was greatly appreciated and we were blown away. Kirsty Malcolm
Rant What really gets up my nose is how, in some shops, the shopkeepers just won't let you alone, with their incessant, "Do you need any help?", "Are you sure I can't help?" Aren't most customers intelligent enough to ask for help if they need it? Some shops are worse than others, of course, and I tend to frequent those that just leave you to browse at your leisure, no pressure, but are very helpful when you do ask for their assistance. But the others - grrrrrrr . . . ! Carol
Rave We would like to thank the cautious drivers who stopped, and the man sitting at the cafe who helped, when my normally well-behaved puppy decided to run across Kohimarama Rd to say hello to the people in the cafe on the other side. She is now in the dog box. Leigh Cattin
