I work in retail and want to say the behaviour of some grown women is embarrassing. You wouldn't walk into someone's home and ignore them when they say hello to you, so why, when you enter our stores, do you ignore us when we simply say "hello". Similarly, women who don't get their way who throw childlike tantrums, scream or cry over petty pieces of clothing.

I am absolutely delighted to see so many cycleways coming up around Auckland city. I am also impressed with the dedicated cycle lanes being provided on the major roads, including the exclusive traffic lights for cyclists.

It's annoying when people leave their shopping trolleys in the car park instead of the designated trolley return area. They don't think it will damage someone's car. Also it blocks parking spaces! C'mon Kiwis, don't be too lazy to walk a few metres. Let's all of us make an effort to keep this beautiful country more tidy. We Kiwis are known as hardworking people around the globe!

Thanks to City Parks and Auckland Council for providing such well-maintained, well-managed sports facilities. Brilliantly marked, clean and accessible to all sports types. Auckland public is seriously blessed with such great facilities.

While I appreciate the inorganic collection is a great chance to offload stuff we don't want any more, we did not appreciate the "collectors" who came on to our property last weekend, trying to uplift piled-up scaffolding on the lawn. One man even asked if he could take the scaffolding off the roof of the house. When I pointed out we were half way through a reroof job, they just couldn't see it at all.

About a year ago I discovered the Al Jazeera channel which fortunately is still available on free TV. It's great to be able to watch true world news and sports news, lively debates with audience participation, wonderful documentaries, very varied interviews and insightful studio-online worldwide discussions.
