Parking at North Harbour stadium for the Fifa U-20 [World Cup] on Saturday was an absolute shambles. No information on the website, no signage, no parking, no traffic control. An embarrassment and a disgrace.

How good are the staff at Bunnings. I drop into a Bunningsand get polite, cheerful and extremely knowledgeable staff, making the whole shopping experience there so much more pleasant. More 'more mature' retail staff needed across NZ? If the Bunnings team are anything to go by, it is well worth considering, I would have thought.
To the litterbug that frequents our leafy suburban South Auckland street under the cover of darkness and obviously eats takeaways in their car, then throws food scraps and rubbish on to the street: put your rubbish in the bag and take it away with you to dispose of in the proper manner like everyone else.
We were so thrilled to see the comment from Anne on Rave about the message on the back of the Sheldrake Trucks: "Don't risk fate NZers - the text can wait". Our daughters started the campaign and have had the most wonderful support. These trucks travel the country and we are so proud of the support. Jade, our daughter, designed the logo with a friend.

On my way to work the other day, I was driving along the road when the person in front of me made an immediate left turn into their driveway without any indication whatsoever. I immediately honked my horn, to which the driver said "what's your problem?". "You know those flashing lights on the back of your car? You use them to let other drivers know you're making a turn," I replied. Rather than apologising, he told me to "get a life". Why can't you accept you made a mistake? It's people like you who cause road accidents.

Bravo to the engineers reshaping SH16 who thought to mark with bright orange lines the stretch of motorway city-bound from Royal Heights to Lincoln Rd. Lanes are finally visible, especially in bad weather. Hope now they can take care of the stretch westbound from the Patiki Rd onramp to Te Atatu Peninsula offramp where markings are practically invisible at sunset.
