I fail to see how the recent changes on Nelson St will improve traffic flow with the new cycle lane removing the dedicated left-turn options into Victoria St etc. But even more astounding is the retention of a few random parking spaces on the left-hand side of Nelson St. What used to be a five-lane approach into the city is at times reduced to three. I am a keen supporter of dedicated cycle lanes but the design layout here is a spectacular fail.

Big ups to the awesome young boy and his dad from Wairarapa, who stopped and fixed my broken mountain bike chain while stranded in the Redwoods yesterday. Thanks for taking the time to stop, you're awesome. And made my day!

Why don't standing bus passengers move to the rear of the bus to allow others to get on, and make it easier for those getting on or off by not standing right by the driver's door or blocking access to the rear door?

Took a holiday drive to the Deco Eatery, ground floor of Lopdell House, Titirangi. Must be the best coffee, menu and service in Auckland.
