Cafes are for people, not dogs! We're not all dog-lovers! I do not appreciate your huge dog trying to lick me, sniff my food, whack me with its tail and taking up a table and I don't appreciate your little dog sitting on a table! It's all very unhygienic, too.

Huge thanks to the caring staff at Coast Physio, Silverdale, for changing my tyre. In my haste to get to an appointment I destroyed a tyre by hitting the curb. I was planning to phone the AA but they kindly sorted the problem and pointed me in the direction of the nearest tyre company.
We live 15 minutes from a large town, just enough time for hungry travellers to finish eating and cast out their food containers by our farm entrance. Also disposed of are nappies and other unmentionables. Clean green NZ? Not outside my gate.
Hats off to Waitakere Hospital A&E staff. Spent six hours there June 13 and discovered I had pneumonia.
From the reception desk to medical staff the treatment was top notch. Procedures and processes clearly explained, personable staff who made me feel less nervous and did not treat me as just a number needing to be checked up and moved on.
One very grateful patient.

Parents, if your child is too sick to go to school, please don't bring them with you to work. You may think they only have a "stomach upset" or "cold" but it could be anything and may well be infectious. If you can't get someone to look after them at home, stay with them yourself. Don't share amongst your colleagues.
A big thank you to Franklin Rubbish Removal guys who spent a good part of yesterday cleaning the edges of Runciman Rd in Pukekohe East. I walk the road daily and am appalled at the "litterbugs" in our midst; is it too much to take your rubbish home!? Thanks, guys.
