Facebook users ‘grossed’ out at pictures of 8-year-old eating raw heart of deer she shot.
A proud father who shared photos of his young daughter after she shot her first deer has been called "sadistic" for allowing her to taste the animal's raw heart.
"I'm a proud Dad ... check out my little pink ninja princess Chloe, 8, with her first deer a young stag,"Johny Yuile wrote on the NZ Woman Hunters Facebook page.
"Shot in a bush block on a friend's farm last weekend. She made tricky downhill shot using my shoulder as a leaning rest and shot with dads 7 mm-08 at about 40m. Then she took a bite from its warm quivering heart , Go Chloe."
Yuile shared photos of Chloe and himself with the dead deer, as well as a photo of the little girl grinning as she has a taste of the stag's heart.
"Bit sadistic to be honest," one Facebook user wrote, "I thought this post was choice until the 'warm quivering heart' bit."
In response to some of the not so positive feedback, one user wrote Chloe wouldn't have bitten on the heart with a grin if she didn't want to do it.
"Kids kick up a stink when they don't want to do stuff, but ya know what? She gave it a go and bagged herself a great deer that will feed her family! Her family has every reason to be proud of her. If you have nothing good to say then don't say anything. Good on you Chloe!"
