Protest at Auckland's noise control regulations

Protesters made a small but noisy demonstration against the Auckland City Council's noise control regulations at the weekend.

A truck with a booming sound system made its way down Queen St, and people carried banners suggesting that if apartment dwellers did not like late-night music they should move out of the city.

The protest, organised by radio stations George FM and 95bFM, followed the confiscation of a city nightclub's sound equipment because of excessive noise.
