A promising young Cromwell sportsman died today as a result of injuries received in a quad bike accident at the weekend.
Andrew Grubb, 20, died in Dunedin Hospital early this morning, a police spokeswoman said.
He was injured after falling off the quad bike in Cromwell early on Sunday.
Mr
Grubb was a member of the Otago Country rugby team and was also in the North Otago cricket team.
Police were grateful for the help they had received from the public in relation to this incident, the spokeswoman said.
