Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was stoked to have two school choirs serenade her with a personalised song.
"Jacinda Ardern, Clarke Gayford, first man," choirs from Westlake Girls and Westlake Boys high schools in Auckland sung as the PM looked on during a visit to an awards ceremony on Thursday.
Thesong was harmonised to the tune of Also Sprach Zarathustra, by Richard Strauss, which featured on Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey film.
I was sitting in the middle of an awards ceremony yesterday when I could have sworn I heard my name, so I followed the choir out and they gave me a repeat performance in the car park. So, so good. Thank you so much again!!
