Police called out to a domestic incident found a clandestine methamphetamine lab at a Christchurch address last night.
The suburban Hornby house was searched shortly after 11pm after a domestic assault complaint was made, they said.
A man had been charged with assault and manufacturing methamphetamine.
The property was cordoned off pending further examination.
