Police are at a residential property on Beresford St Central in Freemans Bay investigating the sudden death of a male.
They believe the death may be suspicious, but no more information is available at this stage.
Police are at a residential property on Beresford St Central in Freemans Bay investigating the sudden unexplained death of a man.
Uniformed police officers and detectives in plain clothes are inside the property, a split-level home down a shared drive at the end of the cul-de-sac.
Four police cars areparked on the street.
The entrance to the house has been cordoned off with white tape.
"It is an unexplained death at this stage," said Detective Inspector Scott Beard at the scene when asked by the media whether it was suspicious.
The cause of the man's death isn't known at this stage. Beard said police won't know the cause until a scene examination and post-mortem had been completed.
Investigators are speaking with the friend who found the dead man and the dead man's flatmate.
A St John ambulance spokesman said the man was dead when paramedics arrived at 10.36am.
