A man whose body was found in a burnt out caravan over the weekend has been formally identified.
Police today named the victim as Brian Lewis Halvorsen, 64.
Emergency services were called to the fire at the Waimea Town and Country Club in Richmond, Nelson, about 8pm on Saturday.
Richmond
fire chief Ralph Lonsdale earlier said the caravan "went up like a rocket".
Police said they had completed a scene examination and the matter would be referred to the coroner.
