Christchurch police have fears for the safety of a 65-year-old man missing overnight.
Police said Warren Henry Faass walked out of Brookhaven rest home in Allport Place, Woolston last night.
Mr Faass suffers from dementia and is prone to violence when lost and confused.
He was last seen about 10.00pm.
Mr Faass is a Caucasian, 170cm tall and of slim build. He has grey curly receding hair, a handlebar moustache and a rosy complexion.
He was wearing a bright blue stripped shirt, khaki/grey knee-length shorts and jandals.
Police said Mr Faass could be in the Ferry Road, Linwood Ave through to Armagh St areas.
