A plane has made an emergency landing at Hamilton Airport around 4.23pm today.
Fire crews were on standby at the airport after an outbound Air New Zealand plane returned soon after takeoff.
Flight NZ5623 was in the air for 22 minutes, according to Flight Aware. The plane is part of
Air New Zealand's ATR fleet, operated by Mount Cook Airlines.
An AirNZ spokeswoman said the company had only just been made aware of the issue and was making enquiries.
