A person is trapped after a three-car crash in Christchurch.

A police spokeswoman said the crash happened on the corner of Lunns and Curletts Rds in Middleton at 8.50 this evening.

"It sounds like a car has been T-boned," she said.

A Fire Service spokesman said they were removing one person from one of the cars, who was trapped.

He said a fire crew had been at the scene for "about 30 minutes".
