Person seriously injured after fire on side of SH1 in Foxton

One person has been seriously injured after a fire on the side of State Highway 1 in Foxton this afternoon.

A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said they were called to a grass fire that was 30m by 5m in size at 1.45pm.

St John was also called to the scene, a spokesperson said they transported one person to Palmerston North Hospital in a serious condition.
