Person airlifted to hospital following Canterbury crash

Save A person has been flown to hospital following a two car crash in Canterbury this afternoon.
The collision occurred shortly before 3.30pm on State Highway 7 near Mouse Point, police said.
One person suffered serious injuries, and was flown to Christchurch Hospital.
Motorists are being warned of delays of up
to two hours, while the serious crash unit carries out a scene examination and removes the vehicles.
The road is expected to fully reopen by 8pm, police said.
