Pedestrian critical after collision with car in Christchurch

A Christchurch pedestrian is in a critical condition following a collision with a car this evening.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred on Arthur St, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch, and the area is closed off.

Motorists are being advised there might be delays and the spokesperson asked the public to be patient while they work at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit is making its way to the scene.
