A young man had been found dead in Panmure this morning. Police were called to a house on Jellicoe Rd in the east Auckland suburb at about 7am but say little is known about the circumstances of the death. They are speaking with witnesses at the scene. The man's identity and connections to the address are unclear, police said.
The man found dead in an Auckland home yesterday was a 19-year-old from Whanganui.
Police have named the murder victim as Shane Paul Hawe-Wilson.
His body was found in a home in Panmure yesterday morning.
Police said the post-mortem examination has been completed and Mr Hawe-Wilson's body has been returnedto his family, members of whom have travelled to Auckland from Whanganui.
Police allege Mr Hawe-Wilson was viciously attacked at the Panmure address where he died and have charged a 35 year-old Balmoral man with his murder.
