A car rolled, trapping a person inside, at a Christchurch intersection this morning.
Police say the crash happened about 6.40am at the intersection of Colombo and Salisbury Streets.
Fire crews had to cut free a person from the upturned vehicle.
An ambulance spokesman said a person was taken to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries.
Salisbury St was initially closed but one lane was now open.
Conditions when the crash happened were clear. But heavy fog has since descended on Christchurch.
The MetService said the fog should soon clear, and will be followed by a fine 21C day.
Shortly after 8am the fog was starting to clear from the central city.
