One person in serious condition after truck hits wall in Stillwater, Auckland

Emergency services are in attendance at a truck crash in Stillwater, Auckland.

One person is in a serious condition after a truck collided with a wall in the north Auckland suburb of Stillwater.

Emergency services were called to a crash on Jackson Way just after 3pm, police said.

“Initial indications are that there are serious injuries. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager told the Herald it received a call at 3.06pm about an accident involving a truck and a wall, with someone trapped.

“Four trucks are currently on scene assisting police with extraction.”

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one ambulance, one rapid response vehicle and one operations manager were sent to the scene near East Coast Rd at 3pm.

“We are transporting one person to North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.”
