One person has been freed from a car following a two-car crash near Christchurch this evening.
A Fire Service shift manager said the two cars collided on State Highway 73 near Lake Pearson just after 5pm.
Four people were involved in the crash but only one needed to be freed
from the vehicle by firefighters.
The person was freed, then handed over to paramedics.
