Man’s body pulled from the water at marina in Parnell, Auckland, as death referred to the coroner

A man’s body has been pulled from the water this afternoon after he fell from a boat in a marina in Parnell, Auckland.

Police said emergency services were notified about 3.35pm that a man had entered the water from a boat on a marina on Tāmaki Drive.

Officers could be seen at the Outboard Boating Club this afternoon where a body could be seen covered and lying on a mooring.

“Sadly [the man] was not able to be revived and died at the scene,” police said in a statement.

The man’s death will be referred to the coroner.

Hato Hone St John also confirmed crews were notified of a water incident in Parnell at 3.32pm.

“We responded [with] one ambulance, one first response unit, one rapid response unit, and one manager to the scene.

“Our crews were not required for transportation. Please refer to police for further information.”
