One person has moderate to serious injuries after a car crash in rural South Canterbury this afternoon.
A Southern Ambulance Communications spokeswoman confirmed the person's injuries and said they had been taken by ambulance to Timaru Hospital.
She did not know the person's age or gender.
A police spokeswoman said
crash occurred near the rural settlement of Hilton, about 30km north-west of Timaru, just before 3pm.
The driver of the car had struck a fence, causing the car to roll.
