One critical, one serious after crash in Templeton near Christchurch

Two people have been seriously injured in a car crash outside Christchurch this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the accident near the corner of Dawsons Rd and Maddisons Rd, at Templeton, just before 2.30pm.

One person is believed to be in a critical condition, and another in a serious condition.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.

Diversions are in place as the police serious crash unit are at the scene.
