An Indian student studying in New Zealand is alleged to have ordered the killing of his sister's boyfriend in India.
The student - named by Indian media as Mukesh - is alleged to have hired four youths to kill Ashu Chautani, also named Sahil in media reports, who was ina relationship with his sister.
Chautani was murdered on his way home from tuitions in Haryana, in northern India, on April 18, the Times of India reported.
Three youths - named in reports as Gagandeep, Vishal, and Adarsh - have been arrested and have confessed to killing Chautani.
A fourth youth, Krishan, is also allegedly involved and remains at large.
A New Zealand police spokesperson said police do not comment on an investigation being undertaken by overseas police or on whether they have been approached by Indian authorities as part an investigation.
