A Whangarei Plunket nurse who was jailed for sexually grooming two girls has had his nurse's registration cancelled.
Keith Paora Curry, then 46, was sentenced to one year imprisonment in May 2010 after he created the identity of an 18-year-old male and made contact with a 14 and 15-year-old girl with the intention of meeting them.
Between June and September 2009 Curry developed an online relationship with the two girls where he communicated with them both online and via text message - including messages which were sexual in nature.
When both girls became aware of Curry's age they ceased all contact with him.
The New Zealand Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has cancelled Curry's nurse's registration.
