A house fire in Northland is being treated as suspicious.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire in Opononi, on the southern shore of Hokianga Harbour, at 10.15pm last night.
They found the home well alight, a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
“They extinguished [the fire] and left the
scene at 12.15am. It is being treated as suspicious and a fire investigator’s heading to the scene this morning.”
