Motorists heading northwards through Warkworth are told to expect delays following a truck fire on State Highway 1.
The fire took place near the intersection with McKinney Rd and NZ Transport Agency said motorists should expect "significant" delays northbound.
One lane is open in both directions but motorists are beingadvised to use Stage Highway 16 as an alternative route.
Further up the road, a crash is blocking lanes at the intersection of Matakana and Sandspit Rds in Warkworth, which is also causing delays.
Meanwhile, following an announcement the train service between Pukekohe and Papakura was not operating after a truck hit a bridge earlier, the line has received clearance and reopened.
Back in Auckland, a crash clear of lanes is creating heavy traffic volumes from Khyber Pass after Market Rd but is easing through Takanini.
Traffic is backed up to the port on the Northwestern Motorway for westbound traffic, with traffic heavy but easing from Newton Rd to St Lukes Rd also.
The line has received clearance, and trains will be resuming between Pukekohe and Papakura. Thanks for your understanding and appreciation. https://t.co/Dth66LT6b2
