Prisoner escapes from courthouse

Police are following leads in Hamilton and Morrinsville on a prisoner who escaped from the Hamilton District Court yesterday.

Eruera Tuari disappeared about 1pm after he being remanded on a charge of assaulting a police officer in Morrinsville in July.

He tried to call an ex-partner on yesterday and early today.
