Aerial searches will continue for the next two days in a bid to find missing Timaru fisherman Bryon Low.
Mr Low, 44, disappeared off his boat, the Diane, on Saturday, and extensive land, sea and aerial searches over the weekend were unsuccessful.
The Diane was found off the coast of St Andrews, south of Timaru, about 45 minutes after Mr Low was reported missing. Its trawling net was in the water, and its engine idling.
"Searches are likely to be conducted over the next two days or so at low tide, and be re-evaluated from there," acting Sergeant Ian Howard of Timaru police told NZPA today.
Police say the chances of finding Mr Low alive are extremely low.
