Police today offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to an arrest in the murder of 23-year-old Auckland woman Marie Jamieson.
Ms Jamieson disappeared after drinking with friends in the Auckland suburb of Newton on February 10.
Her naked body was found nine days later behind a factory in Ranui, West Auckland.
The last sighting of the former hairdresser was recorded on security video as she walked through the forecourt of the Gull Service Station on the corner of Sandringham and New North Roads, Kingsland.
Inquiry head Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Franklin said the reward was targeted at any person who had some peripheral involvement in, or first hand knowledge of, the crime, but who did not inflict the physical injuries.
He said an immunity against prosecution would be considered for any claimant who was not a principal offender.
"Police have now been working on this investigation for over five months. They have received considerable information to date, but key details are still lacking," Mr Franklin said.
